Temple Herdewyke Village Hall is being constructed on land transferred to the parish council, as part of the Mulberry Homes development. The core construction costs are being funded through a Section 106 contribution, paid by Mulberry Homes.
Even though none of our committee are paid for their time, the costs of building a hall don’t stop at construction. With the additional fees for surveys, architects, and the planning application, this S106 money does not go far enough.
We are looking for local businesses and individuals to help fund our project, allowing us to furnish and equip our hall, and build the best possible facility for our village. We hope to generate sufficient income through the running of the hall to pay for ongoing running costs such as insurance and utilities.
You can make a one-off donation using the donate link on this page or by clicking here.
If you would like to donate in another way, make a donation on behalf of a business, or “sponsor” a part of the project, please get in touch! All major donors and sponsors will have the option of being recognised on our website and on a sponsors board in the hall.
We are particularly interested in anyone who would like to sponsor:
– Furniture for our meeting room (and name the room)
– Equipment for the bar (and have us stock your favourite tipple)
– AV equipment
– Chairs and tables for the main hall
– Kitchen equipment
– Plants and landscaping
